OBORODUKI (Hazy Moon) series tableware is made of only consciously selected materials.
The grain of the wood growing in the cold region is clogged tightly. The craftmen carve the wood to show its own bright grain on purpose.
After carving to make designed shape, they spend a lot of time on the drying process.

In order to bring out the natural beauty of the wood, Japanese lacquer (URUSHI) is pasted on the wood which the skilled craftsmen carefully carves thinly.
They rub and wipe the lacquer over and over again so that they finish it with a deep luster of the lacquer, and then the deep color of black is appeared.
